性质描述:

无色油状液体。凝固点9℃，沸点146-147℃（133Pa），相对密度1.2428，闪点48℃。易溶于有机溶剂，难溶于水。挥发性强，对酸、热稳定，遇碱分解为2,4-滴钠盐及丁醇。

生产方法:

首先由苯酚氯化生成2,4-二氯酚，经碱溶液中和后与氯乙酸钠进行缩合反应，生成2,4-D钠盐，酸化后再与丁醇进行酯化反应即得。原料消耗定额：苯酚480kg/t、氯乙酸510kg/t、丁醇320kg/t、液氯720kg/t、盐酸（30%）520kg/t、液碱（折100%）630kg/t。

用途:

2,4-D丁酯是优良的激素型除草剂，除草性能远比2,4-D好，用量也较小，是主要除草剂品种之一。具有良好的展着性和内吸性，不易被水冲刷，药效持久，对人，畜毒性较低。该品作为内吸选择性除草剂，主要防除禾本科作物田中的双子叶叶杂草，异性莎草科及某些恶性杂草，水田，麦田使用较多，玉米、谷子、高梁、甘蔗、亚麻和木本植物也可使用，对一年生及多年生杂草均有良好防效。
