D-JNKI-1 (AM-111; 10μM) can prevent almost all hair cell death and permanent hearing loss caused by neomycin ototoxicity in guinea pig cochlea mp. Local delivery of D-JNKI-1 can also prevent permanent hearing loss caused by hearing trauma in a dose-dependent manner. D-JNKI-1 (0.3 mg / kg, intraperitoneal injection) reversed these pathological events in the rat brain mitochondria, almost completely eliminating the release of cytochrome c and the cleavage of PARP.
