Mesyl Salvinorin B is a selective and potent full KOP receptor agonist with fewer side effects (e.g., sedation or anhedonia) than classic KOP-r full agonists and a longer duration of action in mice than the structurally similar salvinorin A. It acts by preventing cocaine seeking and reducing excessive alcohol drinking via KOP-r-mediated mechanism. References: Zhou Y, Crowley R, Prisinzano T, Kreek MJ.
