Background:

Selamectin is an anthelminthic which can be used on dogs and cats.

Three monthly treatments with Selamectin/sarolaner provide high and consistent efficacy against I. ricinus for the entire duration of the study period. The percentage efficacy against I. ricinus is numerically higher in the Selemectin/sarolaner treating group than in the fluralaner-treating group on Days 56, 84 and 91[1]. All dogs are tested negative by both tests after receiving topical treatment with Selamectin monthly for 36 months[2].
