Medicarpin is a naturally occuring flavonoid extracted from the herb of Hedysarum polybotrys Hand. -Mazz. It stimulates osteoblast differentiation via ERβ, and promotes achievement of peak bone mass. Medicarpin induces apoptosis and overcome multidrug resistance in leukemia P388 cells by modulating P-gp-mediated efflux of drugs.
