In vitro activity: GPR120 Agonist 2 is a potent and selective agonist of the GPR120 (G-protein coupled receptor) receptor. It is extracted from patent US 20110313003 A1, example 209. GPR 120 is a member of the rhodopsin family protein that is encoded by the GPR120 gene in human. GPR120 has also been shown to mediate the anti-inflammatory and insulin-sensitizing effects of omega 3 fatty acids. Lack of GPR120 is responsible for reduced fat metabolism, thereby leading to obesity.
Kinase Assay: GPR120 Agonist 2 is a GPR120 agonist which is useful for the treatment of metabolic diseases, including Type II diabetes and diseases associated with poor glycemic control
