Hydroxybupropion shows stronger antitetrabenazine activity and has a lower LD50 value than the erythro- and threo- metabolites. Hydroxybupropion inhibits norepinephrine and dopamine uptake, antagonizes nicotine, and shows antidepressant effects in rodents[1].
