Description: L,L-Dityrosine hydrochloride (o,o'-Dityrosine), a tyrosine dimer formed by 3,3'-biaryl bond formation, is used as a biomarker to detect oxidative protein damage and selective proteolysis. It is a component of acid hydrolysates of a number of biological materials, including the insect cuticular resilin.
