Mosapride is a gastroprokinetic agent that enhances upper GI motility by activating serotonin receptor 4 (5-HT4; EC50 = 74.2 nM, in guinea pig ileal longitudinal muscle myenteric plexus). Mosapride increases canine, equine, and guinea pig colonic motility in vivo.
