Background:

Thymosin beta 4 is a potent regulator of actin polymerization in living cells.

As indicated by the significant reduction in the binding offluorescent phalloidin to injected cells, it is clear that (Thymosin beta 4 can induce an extensive depolymerization of actin filaments[1]. Treatment with the exogenous Thymosin beta 4 peptide inhibits the proliferation and migration of activated HSCs and reduces liver fibrosis[2].
