Pregnenolone is an endogenous and natural steroid hormone that has been used in the treatment of fatigue, Alzheimer’s disease, trauma and injuries. It is neurosteroid and a key precursor that is involved in the steroidogenesis of a variety of steroids including progesterone, glucocorticoids, mineralocorticoids, androgens, and estrogens, making it a prohormone.
