Lofepramine is an antidepressant; serotonin and norepinephrine re-uptake inhibitor (SNRI). A psychotropic IMIPRAMINE analogue that acts as a tricyclic antidepressant and possesses few anticholinergic properties. It is metabolized to DESIPRAMINE.
