Background:

CTP354 is a deuterated derivative of the GABA_Areceptor modulator L-838,417.¹It binds to the GABA_Areceptor benzodiazepine binding site in non-α₁subunit-containing GABA_Areceptors. CTP354 has a longer duration of action than L-838,417 in a rat model of neuropathic pain induced by sciatic nerve ligation.
