(-)-β-Sesquiphellandrene is a sesquiterpene that has been found inZ. officinaleand has antiviral and anticancer activities.^1,2It reduces rhinovirus IB virus replication in a plaque reduction assay (IC₅₀= 0.44 µM).¹(-)-β-Sesquiphellandrene is cytotoxic to HCT116 cells when used at a concentration of 10 µM.²
