背景信息：

微管 (MTs) 属于极化纤丝，由 α/β 微管蛋白异二聚体构成。MTs 生长较慢 (-) 的末端位于中心体，而生长较快 (+) 的末端延伸到细胞边缘。MT 动力调节对多种细胞功能都很重要，包括细胞分裂、迁移、黏附、膜转运和极化（1 中已有论述）。

胞质连接蛋白 1/170 (CLIP1/CLIP170) 位于 MTs 的正末端 (2)，并结合到 Rac1/cdc42 效应蛋白 IQGAP1。该复合体参与建立细胞极性 (3)。

CLIP1/CLIP170 还可以促进有 MT 依赖的细胞器转运 (4), 而 PLK1 和 CK2 对 CLIP1/CLIP170 的磷酸化在有丝分裂中微管-着丝粒有效连接的过程中是必需的 (5)。
