PCMTD2 (Protein-L-Isoaspartate (D-Aspartate) O-Methyltransferase Domain Containing 2) gene is located on human chromosome 20q13.33. The PCMTD2 protein is ubiquitously expressed in ovary, skin and other tissues. The PCMTD2 (also known as C20orf36, FLJ10883) gene is conserved in chimpanzee, Rhesus monkey, dog, cow, mouse, rat, chicken, zebrafish, C.elegans, and frog. 193 organisms have orthologs with human gene PCMTD2. PCMTD2 gene is related to protein-L-isoaspartate (D-aspartate) O-methyltransferase activity. An important paralog of this gene is PCMTD1.
