TMCO5A (Transmembrane And Coiled-Coil Domains 5A, also known as TMCO5) is a Protein Coding gene. The TMCO5A gene, located on 15q14, is conserved in chimpanzee, dog, mouse, and rat. Tmco5 belongs to the Tmco (Transmembrane and coiled-coil domains) gene family and has a coiled-coil domain in the N-terminal and a transmembrane domain in the C-terminal region. 2 alternatively spliced human isoforms have been reported.
