H151 (H-151) is a potent, selective and irreversible STING antagonist/inhibitor with the potential to be used for autoimmune diseases such as arthritis and other inflammatory conditions. It acts by covalently binding to STING at Cys91, thus blocking palmitoylation and preventing assembly of STING clusters. STING is a transmembrane protein found in the endoplasmic reticulum. Upon activation, it functions as a signaling hub, orchestrating immune responses to pathogenic, tumoral, or self-DNA detected in the cytoplasm.
