Cilansetron, formerly known as DU-123265, KC-9946, is a 5-HT3 antagonist potentially for the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome. Cilansetron acts at its site of absorption to antagonize the sensitivity of mesenteric afferent fibres to 5-hydroxytryptamine in the rat jejunum. References: Painsipp E, Shahbazian A, Holzer P.
