Ac-VEID-AFC是一种荧光显色的caspase-6的底物(Km=30μM; Kcat/Km=168000 M-1sec-1)。也是其他相关的cysteine proteases的底物。这个序列是基于lamin A 的切割位点。在凋亡过程中,caspase-6 切割底物,释放可以被荧光探测的AFC(Ex/Em = 400/505)。在凋亡的细胞裂解物中,Ac-IETD-pNA可以用来鉴别和量化caspase-6活性,以及研究caspase-6 下游的信号通路。
