Chroman 1 is a highly potent and selectiveROCKinhibitor. Chroman 1 is more potent againstROCK2(IC₅₀=1 pM) thanROCK1(IC₅₀=52 pM). Chroman 1 also has inhibitory activity againstMRCK, with anIC₅₀of 150 nM^[1][2].

Chroman 1 (50 nM, 24 h) inhibits caspase-3/7 activation and reduces apoptosis in human pluripotent stem cells^[1].
