  • Description: Thioflavine S (Thioflavin S) is a fluorescent histochemical marker with green fluorescence, it can be used to measure the myocardial no-refow phenomenon.
    Method: For Thioflavine S staining assay.
    1. Thioflavine S (1 mL/kg, 6%) is injected into mice via the tail vein and allowed to circulate for 1-2 min.
    2. The hearts are quickly harvested, fixed in 4% paraformaldehyde (PFA) overnight, cut into 1 mm sections, and then observed under a stereomicroscope (Leica, Germany).
  • Description: Thioflavine S (Thioflavin S) is a fluorescent histochemical marker with green fluorescence, it can be used to measure the extracellular insoluble Aβ plaque deposits in the whole brain of mice.
    Method: For brain tissue staining.
    1. Wash mouse brain tissues for three times in PBS (5 min).

    4. Brain tissue sections are mounted on glass slides using a TissueFAXS plus (TissueGnostics GmbH, Vienna, Austria) and using a Zeiss Axio Imager Z2 Microscope System (Carl Zeiss, Jena, Germany) for image.
